Description
The Residential Construction Workforce Partnership (RCWP) focuses on residential construction for the shelter industry and is dedicated to:
- Career exploration
- Recruitment
- Entry-level craft awareness
- Craft training by certified instructors and support staff
Training is offered in:
- Carpentry/Weatherization
- Electrical
- HVAC/Plumbing
- Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL)
- Other specialized supplemental instruction
This program aims to upskill participants, support job placement, and create pathways to entrepreneurial opportunities and minority-based business creation. The training consists of a 26-week construction/electrical pre-apprenticeship program for job seekers and incumbent workers.
