About Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI)

Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI) provides weekly payments to Rhode Island workers who miss work due to a non-work-related illness or injury. TDI is funded solely by Rhode Island workers and is one of only six such programs in the United States.

About Temporary Caregiver Insurance (TCI)

The Temporary Caregiver Insurance (TCI) law was enacted on July 11, 2013. TCI offers up to 6 weeks of paid leave to care for a seriously ill loved one or to bond with a new child. You must apply within 30 days of starting your leave.
