The resource room at the DLT Career Center in Woonsocket will be closed for renovations starting Friday, April 4, 2025, and reopen Monday, April 21, 2025. The center will remain open during renovations, and a computer will be available for public use. If you have any questions, please contact the center at 401-235-1221.

Attention UI Claimants:

For the next two weeks, the UI Call Center will be adjusting its hours. Instead of offering morning-only hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays, we will now be open all day on Thursdays and closed all day on Wednesdays to allow our representatives to process claims.

Closed: Wednesday, April 9 & Wednesday, April 16
Open Full Day: Thursday, April 10 & Thursday, April 17

Remember to make your morning Wednesday call on Thursday afternoon instead.

Announcement: Clarification regarding RIGL 5-6 from the Board of Examiners for Electricians

The Board of Examiners of Electricians confirms that the use of plug-in receptacle testers and testing buttons on GFCI receptacles do not require a license under RIGL 5-6, as these activities do not involve direct testing of the wiring. This clarification aims to help unlicensed individuals understand the requirements related to electrical work.

Description

The Reentry Campus Program empowers currently and formerly incarcerated individuals by providing affordable access to accredited postsecondary education and certificate programs, aligning seamlessly with the reentry process. This intensive program serves 40 participants aiming for 30 to earn postsecondary credentials or credits in a human services career pathway. Beyond coursework, participants receive support preparing for and completing the DSST exam, which awards college credit for prior learning.

This program opportunity is organized by the Amos House RI Reentry Employment Collaborative led by ReEntry Campus Program.
